Civic Lower Control
how do i replace a lower control arm in my honda civic ?
I have a 2004 honda civic LX. i hit a curb at high speed and my rim and control arm are damaged . i have replaced my wheel . I have ordered the control arm(lower right ) from an online store. Can I do this job myself ?? what tools will I need ? of course , i am planning to check the aligment at a service centre later..
Its not that bad of a job, you should be able to do it with only minor mechanical ability's. The only tool you need beyond regular hand tools will be a ball joint removal tool. Buy the kind that you push into place then tighten the bolt to pop joint. If you use a pickle fork you can damage the joint and will almost certainly destroy the rubber boot. Then your replacing a ball joint too.
