1998 Honda Civic LX, Left Upper control arm. How hard is this to change?.?

Wondering how hard this is to change? Do you require a lift to do the change? Will the steering need to be realigned afterwards? Any advice? Thank you!!

This is not a easy thing to do. I work on my own cars and I decided to pay someone else to do this. Basically you remove the tire and the shock absorber. The coild spring is the difficult and dangerous thing to remove. It requires a chain and 2x4 to compress the sping and remove it without damaging anything including yourself.

Personally I would let someone else risk a broken arm unless you've done something like this before. You don't really have to have the steering realigned unless you notice that it has been knocked out. I didn't have any problems with mine after it was done.

Good luck!
